Hollywood icon and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Freie Universität Berlin.

The university recognized Schwarzenegger's contributions to sports, politics, and environmental protection.

In a ceremony held at the university's main campus, Schwarzenegger was presented with the honorary doctorate by university president Professor Dr. Günter M. Ziegler.
