In his first season at Ole Miss Freeze led the Rebels to a 6-6 record in the regular season including a 41-24 victory over Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. He guided Ole Miss to back-to-back nine-win regular seasons for the first time in school history. Hes posted a 25-8 record and two Cure Bowl victories at a school that hadnt even begun its first FBS season when he resigned at Ole Miss. In all Freeze has a 69-32 career college coaching record and 39-25 mark at Ole Miss.
